We are here!

Finally we are in Tarapoto, after spending a beautiful summer in Lima helping with the camp season, being trained in other areas of ministry, celebrating Caleb's birthday (one month in advance) and packing boxes for our move, we are finally in the place that God wants us to be, Tarapoto.

These last days have been extremely interesting because we have seen the miraculous hand of God in different areas of our lives. He miraculously provided for travel expenses, and most of the move.

We have also been super busy trying to get all things organized for the move. Robert found a transport company that gets your things from home, to start out it seemed like the best option we could find. The idea was for them to come this morning to take things so we were free for our flight at 8 pm.

Well, not everything went as planned. The truck did not arrive until after 5 in the afternoon (and we had to be at the airport at 6:15 pm), and the company sent a small truck (even though they said they would send a big one) when they arrived. We asked permission to move, which we had as we were told we needed. Thank God Zarela's father stayed to see that all things were kept safe and to oversee the processing of papers.

Because we left home super late, we arrived late at the airport and could not bring our bags with our clothes. Thank God we did not miss the plane while we traveled with only our hand luggage. At the airport were our relatives who came to say goodbye to us, although we were sorry we could not spend much time with them as the plane was about to leave.

Despite all these things, we got to Tarapoto safely. After all the adventures, we live in the place God has called us to. God has placed peace in our hearts, and nothing went as planned but we are confident that nothing escapes God's Hands. Even in the midst of all that we have experienced God is in control and we trust that.

We ask you to pray for us, tomorrow we will start house hunting and hope to find a house to move into. Pray also that our things can come to Tarapoto and for God to continue to provide for moving expenses. It will be a little difficult these days without clothes and our personal things, especially with a little messy clothes all the time, but we know that God will sustain us and help.

We trust in Him!
