We started with homeschool this week! After some vacation time, Caleb and I are so excited to start homeschool again!
Because it has been a long time since our last classes, I decided to take a couple of weeks to do a review. This week will look at the first four days of creation, some colors and shapes.
Yesterday (Monday) we reviewed the first day of creation.
One of the things that I put more emphasis on is the Word of God and the truth. It is so exciting seeing him learn
To review the first day of creation, we saw some visuals of the day and night.
We also did some activities because we learn more with the things we do.
We used three sheets of construction paper and glue
Caleb had fun breaking the black and yellow construction paper with his fingers.
Then he glued on the white sheet. This activity also helps develop fine motor skills and is very fun.
Another little thing I did was print different pictures and then play "Place on the sun or the moon"
First we painted a sun and a moon on the floor of my house.
Then he had to put the picture on the sun, if it is something you do during the day, or the moon, if it's something he does at night. So you can identify the difference between things that are done during the day and those done at night.
I tried to have pictures of the things he does daily.
Note: Some things we did last year
1. We sat on the bed and turn off our light (at nighttime) and I began to tell how in the beginning everything was dark, then lit the lantern and speak of light, then switch on the light in the room. We played for a while turning on and turning off the light (as we talked about the day and night)
2. Throughout the day we looked out the window and repeated "day", then at night we went out and showed it was "night".
