Creation: Day 3

We had so much fun remembering what God created on the third day. 

Caleb played with the puzzles that we had made last year. 

To make these puzzles, what I did was print some different pictures of flowers or plants. Then I glued them to a carton, taped them with packing tape and cut them out. 

It’s a simple and practical way to make puzzles for your kids. What kids don’t love to play with puzzles? 

We continued with our Creation book, and this time we used construction paper, glue, popsicle sticks, mosquito netting, and a little bit of sand. 

The first thing that Caleb did was make the “river” with blue finger paint. 

Then he glued on the “land.” 

We made the trees with some popsicle sticks 

And the mosquito netting

 We also used flower stickers (we had to use liquid silicone to make the stickers stay on top of the sand)

 We used “Do-a-Dot” markers for the first time

It was really fun

 He put the broccoli and tomatoes in order based on size

 Using colored pom-poms

 He also matched the similar flowers

 We really had a lot of fun doing each of these activities. I think the most important thing is that Caleb has fun while learning God’s Word.

We have already learned about the first three days of creation and I’m dying to learn the rest.

 A few other things that we’ve done and we can do:

 1- Go out and gather plants and flowers. You can put the flowers in a notebook or simply put them in a tupperware container or bag. The idea is to use the flowers and plants as a way to talk about how God created fruits and plants on the third day.

 2- You can also go for a little trip to the river or beach (we went to the river).

 3- Make a fruit salad.
